e-TOOLS

Festival Delegates are invited to sign up to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube (see links below) and then connect to our IndigiTUBE website (www.indigitube.com.au). Once you have your own social networking accounts - you can 'friend' or 'follow' IndigiTUBE and become part of this online community. Through IndigiTUBE we are aiming to connect, resource and support remote media workers. See you online!

What are e-TOOLS?

e-TOOLS are web-based or internet-based tools such as software or websites which can be used for a variety of things including:
  • sharing information
  • getting information
  • social networking
  • collecting information

Information including video, audio and images can be uploaded from your computer, mobile phone or other mobile device that has internet connection. Information can also be downloaded to these devices.


Examples of eTOOLS for sharing and getting information:


-WIKIPEDIA (an open, collaborative website encyclopaedia that anyone can edit)
-WIKISPACES (allows you to create a free collaborative website; very easy to use, no experience necessary!)
-FLICKR (sharing photo's, create slideshows, albums and more. allows people to leave feedback,
allows you to find others with similar interests)
-DELICIOUS (like a photo album of websites; for organising your favourite websites for easy access)
-SLIDESHARE (for sharing slideshows and articles that you have created or collected: others can leave feedback)
-BLOGSPOT (allows you to create a free BLog where you can share your thoughts, photos and more and others can respond.
You can upload information from the web or even your mobile phone.)
-USTREAM(allows you to broadcast live video footage from your computer, phone or ipad. watch live footage from around the world)
-YOUTUBE (allows you to view video footage such as films, music video's, tv shows and much more from anywhere in the world.
You can also put your own video's up for others to view. Some video's on youtube have been seen by millions of
viewers around the world. That's more than broadcasting on TV!)
-iGOOGLE
-GOOGLE SCHOLAR
-PODCASTS (allows you to put content such as video, photos or audio online for others to download and access from their
computer or ipod etc)
